The Agnes b fashion show

The Agnes b fashion show

The show

On the evening of October 6th, as Paris buzzed with the rhythm of Fashion Week, the fashion world turned its gaze to the Collège des Bernardins. There, designer Agnès b. celebrated not only the unveiling of her Spring-Summer 2026 collection, but also the 50th anniversary of her timeless maison. After six years of silence, her return to the runway carried a rare emotional charge, a reunion between a creator and her audience, between nostalgia and renewal.

Agnes b

Agnès Troublé, known to the world as Agnès b., has always stood apart from the noise of the fashion world. Since the founding of her brand in 1976, she has remained faithful to a simple philosophy: to design clothes that are human, sincere, and enduring. Her style rejects excess and celebrates authenticity. Garments that tell stories rather than follow trends.
This show, marking 50 years of creative independence, was conceived as a musical and emotional journey through time. Ballet, song, and fashion came together to retrace the evolution of a brand that has always believed in softness as strength.

The collection

The evening opened with a poetic scene: Hugo Marchand, étoile of the Paris Opera, danced across the runway in a T-shirt printed with the word “Danse !!!”, setting the tone for a show that blended movement and emotion.
The collection unfolded like a life story, from the innocence of young girls in white, to confident women wearing bold prints and flowing silhouettes, culminating with brides.
Each piece reflected the signature craftsmanship of Agnès b. Natural fabrics, airy cuts, and prints inspired by photographs she took herself in her garden. Light dresses, transparent layers, and delicate textures translated her vision of femininity, free, sensitive, and deeply connected to nature.

50th anniversary

This 50th-anniversary show was not just a celebration of fashion; it was a declaration of creative independence. While many brands chase trends, Agnès b. remains anchored in sincerity. Her work continues to embody a form of resistance, a quiet opposition to the fast pace of the modern fashion industry.
Through music, art, and poetry, she has built a universe that values collaboration and emotion. The finale captured this perfectly: Matthieu Chedid (M) and Oxmo Puccino performed “Les Moulins de mon cœur” by Michel Legrand, as fifty years of design paraded before an audience visibly moved by the moment. It was a tribute not only to her legacy, but to the enduring connection between art and humanity.

Timeless Design

Still now Agnès b. proves that timeless design and ethical creativity are not opposites. Her brand continues to collaborate with artists such as Futura 2000, Harmony Korine, and Mel Bernstine, blending fashion with street art, photography, and cinema.
In an era dominated by digital aesthetics and overproduction, Agnès b. still champions sustainable values. Local craftsmanship, long-lasting pieces, and a refusal to compromise authenticity. Her maison reminds us that elegance can coexist with conscience, and that simplicity remains one of fashion’s greatest luxuries.

My thoughts

Writing about this show holds a special place in my heart, as I was interning at Agnès b. during that time. I had the privilege of attending the event, and it felt like witnessing history unfold before my eyes.
I was deeply touched by the performances, the music, and the emotion that filled the room. The flow of the dresses and the soft prints, taken from photographs captured by Agnès herself, transported me back to the summers of my childhood, evoking a gentle sense of nostalgia.
To me, this show was more than a fashion presentation. It was a celebration of memory, movement, and emotion. Agnès b. reminded everyone that true beauty lies not in spectacle, but in sincerity, and that, even after fifty years, her creative spirit still feels as young and vibrant as ever.
